Big Ears works with people with learning difficulties, their families and services who support them, to develop easy-to-use solutions and quality training in multimedia.

Multimedia is a rich, emotive, fun and direct way of communicating. It uses digital pictures, animations, videos, music, sounds and text as a radical language that can break through communication barriers and provides a unique platform for working and sharing.

We believe Multimedia has the potential to make a huge difference to the lives of many - helping people with learning difficulties to express themselves, build their self-esteem and be more in control of their lives, and helping other people find new ways of communicating with them.

Big Ears runs participatory video projects for people with learning difficulties. Participants learn to plan a project, use video equipment, interview, edit and produce videos.
